Stand in Peace my Friend. 1998 Keyaki (Zelkova) and Lacquer standing on a plate of steel. This is standing in front of a gasoline stand. This gasoline stand is on a crossing of 2 major streets, one side has the pumps etc. the other side has the shops, the shop side has this sculpture. It once saved me from a problem. I was questioned about something in the police station when the (lieutenant in US?) Asked me suddenly if my name was the same as the artist who made this sculpture, so I laughed and said it is me. After that the misunderstanding was quickly solved. So not only does this peace stand in peace it also lets me in peace.
